ANHI AND DORI
The footpath connecting Kashmir valley to Karnah via
Chowkibal, passes through the middle on Sadhana Pass. The legend says that two
witches had taken their abode on Sadhna Gali (Pass) called "ANHI and
DORI". Anhi means the blind, and Dori means the deaf. Both of them were
carnivorous. Therefore, people generally moved along this pass in large
caravans. The fear continues in the mind of the people of Karnah up to this
day. There is another legend related to these witches. It is said that Baba
Abdullah Ghazi, accompanied by 370 of his disciples, crossed through this pass.
One of the witches caught hold of the last person to cross the pass and
devoured him. A loud cry was raised and the news was brought to Baba Abdullah
Ghazi. He pierced the belly of the witch with his staff and bodily extracted
the disciple out of it. His curse turned the witches into two boulders that can
still be seen in the Shamsbari mountains. Likewise according to another legend,
that Baba Ghazi once stopped a raging flood that had engulfed Gabra village
saving a part of it now called Kohneh Gabra (Old Gabra) and the new habitat
that came up is called Navan Gabra.

کشمیر وادی سے کارنا تک چوکیبال کے
ذریعے ملنے واال پیڈھ کسیٹ سڈھانا پاس سے گزرتا ہے۔ مصنوعی قصے کے مطابق، دو چڑیلیاں
سڈھانا گلی )پاس( پر قیام کرتی تھیں جن کا نام "آنہی اور دوری" تھا۔
آنہی بہرہ ہونا مطلب ہے اور دوری اناہی ہونا مطلب ہے۔ دونوں چڑیلیاں میٹھا خور
تھیں۔ لہذا، لوگ عموما بڑی قافلوں میں اس پاس سے گزرتے تھے۔ خوف کارنا کے لوگوں کے
دل میں آج تک برقرار ہے۔ ان چڑیلیوں سے متعلق ایک اور داستان بھی ہے۔ کہا جاتا ہے
کہ بابا عبدہللا غازی نے اپنے 370 مریدوں کے ساتھ اس پاس سے گزرا۔ ایک چڑیل نے پاس
سے گزرنے والے آخری شخص کو پکڑا اور اسے نگل گئی۔ یہ خبر بابا عبدہللا غازی کو
پہنچائی گئی اور وہ اپنے عصا سے چڑیل کے پیٹ کو چھید کر مرید کو نکال لیا۔ ان کا
لعنت ان چڑیلوں کو دو پتھروں میں تبدیل کر دیا گیا جو آج بھی شمس باری پہاڑوں میں
دیکھے جا سکتے ہیں۔ اسی طرح ایک اور داستان کے مطابق، بابا غازی نے ایک شدید سیالب
کو روکا تھا جو گبرہ گ
